bias cut
A garment cut on the diagonal which follows the body’s natural curves.

Refers to hair's spring or bounce.

|
Body Shape
The silhouette that your body projects. There are two general categories of body shape: Straight and Curved.
|
|
Bodyline
Your bodyline consists of your face shape and your body shape. Body shapes can be either Straight or Curved, and face shapes can be either Angular or Curved. There are four bodyline categories: Straight, Straight-Soft, Soft-Straight, and Curved.

Bolero Jacket

Refers to the appearance of warm hair colours that are the result of chemicals or damage.

Bright colour Palette
The Bright palette contains colours that are primary colours or clear true jewel tones. They range from mid-tones to deeper tones that remain clear and do not appear muted or grayish. These colours create contrast and project a crisp appearance. They include true red, yellow, and blue as well as violet, magenta, green, and turquoise.

A tightly woven smooth fabric, usually of cotton or cotton blends.

brocade
A heavy fabric with richly woven raised patterns.

brogue
A flat leather shoe that laces up and features a perforated design. Also known as balmoral or oxford.

cashmere
The soft fiber that comes from the underbelly of the Kashmir goat. Clothing made from this yarn comes in different plys, the higher the ply, the heavier the knit.

A natural substance found in your skin that helps prevents moisture loss. These lipids become depleted as we age so using beauty products with these ingredients helps improve moisture.

chalk stripe
Soft striped lines woven into fabric that resemble chalk lines, usually wider than pinstripe.

challis
A soft, light-to-medium-weight fabric with a diagonal twill-like weave. It is made in wool, cotton, rayon, or a blend.

chamomile

A shampoo that removes excess product buildup or chemicals from hair. Has a higher pH content than regular shampoo.

clay (kaolin)
A fine mineral rich powder that helps draw oils and impurities to the skin's surface.

clove oil
Used as an anti-inflammatory and anti-irritant ingredient in beauty products.

|
coconut oil
Acts as an emollient cleanser. Used in hair products to add shine.

|
colour Palettes
A group of colours that best complement you physically. There are six colour palettes: Bright, Light, Muted, Deep, Cool, and Warm.
